It is my pleasure to introduce to you  our newest member of our team.
Melissa Haworth

I am very excited to have Melissa on board here at Quilitng Weekly.  Please be sure to say hello and get to know her better when you see her around the fourms or chat room.

In Melissa's own words, here is what she has to say about her sewing/quilting.

My dad taught me to sew when I was eight on the Kenmore sewing machine my mom got as a wedding gift but never used. My parents nurtured my interest in sewing by signing me up for quilt classes at the Quilt-in-a-Day studio in San Marcos, CA. Since then I've made dozens of quilts of all sizes and levels of complexity. Before my daughter was born I taught a t-shirt quilt class at a local craft center and more recently I've been sharing sewing tips online through my blog and other websites.

In the past year I've become more interested in applique as a fun technique for baby quilts and have been honing my hand stitching skills.

For more information and to get to know her and her work better, visit her blog "Under Construction"
