Juanita will take you by the hand, and lead you through a wonderful journey into art quilts. This class is for the more confident quilter, so if you have been looking for a challenge, than look no further.

Our subject will be a scene from Cape Breton Island in Canada which includes sky, water, grass, flowers, rocks, trees, and a simple shack. My philosophy is that you will enjoy the process more if the subject is pleasing. After making this quilt you will be more than ready to tackle your own quilted landscape from one of your favorite photos.

As you can see by the photos above you will be working with a great inspirational photograph, and by the end of class you will have created your own fabric landscape quilt worthy of framing!

Remember how much fun you had as a child doing those paint by numbers pictures? Well with Juanita's carefully drawn pattern it will be just as much fun and just as easy, only you will be using fabric instead of paint!

She will help you with everything from choosing fabrics, and supplies to learning how to fuse your fabrics, and stitch them down. She loves to do things by hand, but if you like to use your machine instead; she gives you full permission to do so!

Juanita leaves nothing to chance; she even helps you with framing the quilt and gives you suggestions for making a hanging sleeve and labels too! This class is full of helpful tips, and great photos to follow, but if you need more personal help......you can simply email her! It will be like getting private lessons for a fraction of the cost.

How our Home Study Program Works

Quilting Weekly's Home Study Program has you in mind.  We know your time is valuable and finding time to learn how to quilt can be difficult when you need to travel to a quilt shop and work with their schedule of classes.
