Miriam Gogarty (Emma's mother) created this pattern with her daughter in mind, and was thrilled to share it with you. It is a way of getting Emma's Trees planted all around the world.
Who is Emma? Emma is Miriam's daughter who lost her battle with cancer at the age of 29, leaving behind 2 small children. Read more on her story and how this pattern came about on the teachers page.
The pattern is for making a special tree, which looks lovely in Christmas fabrics but can also be done in many other fabrics as well. Adding photographs to some of the squares would be a nice addition to the trees. It is a simple scrappy tree with a unique assembly method which can be done by quilters of all levels.
