Thank you Chris for all the work in producing the videos. I throrughly enjoyed them. I may even have a go at machine quilting this week, as the free motion looked as if it may be fun. I have a pillow case ready to quilt.

A tip that was sent to me from our lovely Kathy Howard. This came to me in a private message, but I thought I would share it with you. Not sure if you hand quilters understand what she is talking about, if not maybe you can ask her to explain it better.

Here is what her message said to me.

Recently there was a good video at How to Quilt on hiding knots when hand quilting.

But nowhere have I read or seen anything on how to handle adding the next thread. If I know it will show on the back, I usually hide my thread end in the backing, bring the needle up a stitch length from the last stitch and make the first stitch up through making sure it is in the right spot on the front. Then I continue stitching from the front as before.
