Quilting is a great stress relief for me. It is relaxing and fun. I rush through all the housework on one day and the next day quilt all day except for lunch and dinner time. I do stop for that. If I have to work that evening I see if there is anything I can work on my quilt at work with and if so I take it with me to work on during my down time there. I wish I could just stay home and quilt all day and not have to go to work, but I do get a lot of comments at work about my quilting. My significant other loves that I have found a hobby and encourages me to let housework go and quilt everyday. I wish I could but the housework would drive me batty just knowing it needed done.

Trish,

I saw you question in the post and I think this will be a good one to put into our discussions so if you don't mind I will post this for our topic this week.

We may have explored this in the past, but since there are new members it will be a good one to explore again.

Thanks,
Chris

Hello,

Do have a lovely time in Belstead. Sounds lovely and will look into joining you if they run any more courses in the future. We lived near by and use to walk over the heath to Belstead in the 70's with our small children. All built on now.

Hi Janet,
this will be an open group, which means you can take anything, no real tutor but Lesley will be there, there were a few spaces left for the 19th June, if you are interested? Have some flannette material which my sister sent years ago and I have never made up, so am going to try and get that one started, and have a weddingring block of 5 rings in a line and want to applique this to a long background, like the IN thing for the end of the bed!!!!!LOL
should be fun

Hello everyone, I do have suport from my husband and family. They do know that it is my stress release. I use to spend 2 to 3 hours a day in my room quilting and have a good time. Yes I had enteruptions galore. But, I just put it to them this way, This is my time and if you want my attention? Well, You come into my domain you need to help me out while we talk. That seamed to work out great.
The house work? I set up a chart on who does what on those days including DH. And that worked. Time Management was great. IT verried at times when it was call to my attention of having to go out. I did have to set the time differently on those days. I still got in my time in quilting. I set a plann with Am and noon and dinner time and made it ahead if possible. That was the hard part. Each day had it's moments but still the Time Management went great for the most in setting up a chart on who did what.
It is now the same as I am now a truck driver with my DH we both do drive. I still set the time to do what I need to do each day and quilt.
It just depends on each family what works out for you. It can be hard at time Ladies but can be done.

Happy Quilting,
God Bless,
